There are only a few lakes in the world with methane bubbles and one of them is in our own backyard!
To make the most of this great geographic opportunity, I have put together a special two day, weekend getaway workshop to legendary Abraham lake. This workshop will combine beautiful mountain landscapes, wild east slope clouds, stunning sunrises and sunsets and the incredible shapes, textures of the bubbles and just total amazingness and one of a kind photos this unique place offers. Think of it as a bubbleicious photography escape!
We will roam the ice photographing the unique bubble formations and fantastic ice ridges and snow shapes and patterns in the ice.
Then we will relax at our hotel in Nordegg, in front of the fire with a glass of wine or beer and some good food. In the evening we will do a fun evening critique session on the big screen.
The next day we will go to a special location on the ice.
What you will learn
How make the bubbles pop (photographically:)
How be creative with neutral density filters
Landscape photography techniques
How to meter for dynamic landscapes
How to shoot for toning and tweaking in post production (if you are into that)
